Nouns - They are words that are used as names of person, place, things.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF NOUNS

1. Proper Nouns : Word used for particular person, place or things. e.g. Rahul, Delhi, Moon.

2. Common Nouns : Word used for all members of a group. e.g. Man, City, Animal.

3. Collective Nouns : Word denoting group as a unit e.g. Team, Army, Bunch etc.

4. Material Nouns : Words used to name substances e.g Steel, Iron, Wood

5. Abstract Nouns : Words used for feeling or qualities. e.g. Bravery, Kindness, Happiness etc.


NOUNS BY GENDER

1. Masculine Nouns : Word used for Males. e.g Man, boy, Father.

2. Faminine Nouns : Word used for females. e.g Woman, Girl, Mother

3. Common Nouns : Word used for either male or female. e.g. author, student, child.

4. Neuter Nouns : Words used niether for male or female. e.g chair, apple, brush

1. Singular Nouns : Names for a single item. e.g Brick, Bat, Box.

2. Plural Nouns : Names for many items. e.g Bricks, Bats, Boxes
